It is the mother of Athena, therefore the progenitor of another pair of our glasses.Meti has the advantage of having a sweet sound, almost feminine but with the final "i" typical of the masculine, so it helps the duplicity and the unisex nature of our glasses.
Athena was born from the head of Zeus, but he had seduced and impregnated Meti, then fearing that she would have generated someone who would have dethroned him, he had swallowed her and therefore the daughter she was carrying had come out directly from her head. Meti, however, remained in her stomach and from there she gave the father of the gods wise advice.
