Achille Castiglioni was a very important figure for Italian design. He has shown us that minimal is not synonymous with banal, indeed in many cases the purity of the objects he designed has touched the surreal. His genius allowed him to easily pass from projects of an artistic matrix to projects of humble objects of common use.
